Writing with the Seven Teachings - Youth Writing Workshop (Ages 11-13)

This week will use the Indigenous Seven Teachings (Bravery, Humility, Love, Honesty, Respect, Wisdom and Truth) as launching points for creative writing. These teachings, sacred to many Indigenous groups, are traditionally taught as thoughtful lessons necessary for all people. Using stories, poetry, and writing exercises with these themes, Vermette will share what the Teachings mean to her, and lead the kids to develop their own writing.
